Ravi Zacharias to Address United Nations Prayer Breakfast on Tuesday

On Tuesday, September 12, Ravi Zacharias will give the keynote address at the United Nations’ 32nd Annual International Prayer Breakfast. This marks the start of the 72nd Regular Session of the UN General Assembly, which will convene at UN Headquarters in New York City.
This is the fourth time Zacharias will address the UN in this setting, most recently speaking there in 2012. “This is a very intimidating setting in which to speak,” he remarked following his last appearance, noting that many ambassadors from regions facing increased global tensions were in attendance. “I was nervous, but I sensed God’s presence and was filled with gratitude for those who were praying for me.”
Please join our RZIM team in praying for Ravi as he addresses the United Nations Prayer Breakfast. As we thank God for this tremendous honor and opportunity, we pray for an extra measure of wisdom and clarity for Ravi, and trust that all who attend will be receptive and impacted by the message of truth and hope during these crucial times across the globe.
“You are men and women accustomed to a lot of words, ideas, speeches, and profound reflective thought,” said Zacharias in a previous address to the UN. “I think the marvelous plan of our God Himself is that He takes and uses some of the weakest of this world to help challenge even the wise.”
